Summer Internship Programme – 2017 @ NITK

Timeline for Summer Internship Programme: NITK – SIP 2017
  • Last date of receipt of applications by Heads of Departments at NITK: 04/05/2017

Eligibility: Students who are presently completing the third year (or sixth semester) B.Tech/ BE, and students completing the first year (or second semester) of M.Tech/ ME /M.Sc. / MBA are eligible to apply for NITK – SIP. Selection of interns will be made by respective departments based on academic performance in university examinations, paper
presentations at conferences/workshops, projects executed, design contests participated,
and other awards/ distinctions obtained. Preference will be given to students from Institutions with which NITK has an MoU for academic and research cooperation.

Summer Internship Programme @ IITRPR 2016

  • General information for external students applying for Summer Internship programme: Students registered for a degree in any academic institution willing to carry out Summer Internship at IIT Ropar in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Humanities, Mathematics, Physics, Centre for Material and Energy Engineering and Centre for Biomedical Engineering may apply for the Internship Programme.
  • Tenure: Not below 5 weeks and not exceeding 8 weeks.
  • Period: 16/05/2016 – 15/07/2016
  • Application: Application should be made in the prescribed format as available in website. It has to be duly signed, scanned and then sent to your supervisor as an email attachment.
  • Accommodation: The students selected for internship may be provided hostel accommodation, if available, on payment of appropriate fees. The application for accommodation (only after being selected for internship) should reach the office of Dean of Student Affairs through the faculty supervisor and the HOD for permission. The cost towards food and access to other amenities have to be paid by the student.
  • Students selected by the Indian Academy of Sciences: Students already selected by the Science Academies have to submit the filled-in application form and accommodation form to their respective supervisors before the deadlines as given in website. This is required to make proper arrangements for the intern students.

Summer Research Opportunity for Faculty of Other Institutions @ IITGN

For whom: Faculty of prominent engineering institutions. IITGN may at its discretion also award this fellowship to teachers of other colleges/universities.

Objectives: To provide opportunities to faculty of other institutions to (i) participate in ongoing research projects at IITGN, (ii) undergoing mentorship by faculty of IITGN and, (iii) participate in developmental initiatives – [development of laboratories, new elective courses etc.]

Duration: At least 8 weeks within summer break (Summer Break at IITGN: 02/05/201608/07/2016).

  • Last date for receiving applications is 14/03/2016.
  • Eligibility: The applicant must currently be a full-time faculty member at an institution and have a teaching experience of at least 2 years.
  • Requirements:
    • Applicants are required to work with a member of IITGN faculty and maintain regular work time.
    • Applicants are required to submit a report to IITGN at the end of the tenure.
  • Provisions for visitors:
    • Monthly honorarium of Rs. 20,000/-
    • Single furnished accommodation; visitors are required to pay for their own food/meals.
    • Return rail travel (2nd AC) between Ahmedabad and place of work for joining IITGN and returning to parent institution.
  • Other Considerations:
    • Applicants can spend at most 3 summers at IITGN under this program.
    • Each member of the faculty of IITGN can work with at most 2 visitors in a given summer.
  • Application Procedure:
    • Coordinate with appropriate faculty at IITGN.
  • Applicants should not send hardcopy of the filled application form to IITGN.

Student Summer Research Internships 2016 @ IITGN

  • Eligibility: Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a prominent institution in India.
  • Duration: At least 8 weeks within summer break of IITGN (Summer Break at IITGN: 02/05/2016 – 08/07/2016).
  • Last date for receiving applications is 14/03/2016.
  • Requirements:
    • Applicants are required to work with an IITGN faculty. Applicants are advised to review the list of participating faculty along with the description of projects being offered.
    • Applicants may apply for internship with only one participating IITGN faculty; based on their interests and prior experience they are free to apply for internship with faculty/projects outside of their declared degree specializations.
    • Applicants will be required to make a presentation to the institute and submit a report at the end of the tenure.
  • Provisions for student interns:
    • Weekly stipend of Rs. 1000/-
    • Free accommodation; students are required to pay for their own boarding.
  • Applicants should not send hardcopy of the filled application form to IITGN.

NITK – Summer Internship Programme – 2016

  • Summer Internship Programme – SIP
  • Totally 50 internships will be provided.
  • Eligibility: Students who are presently completing the third year (or sixth semester) B.Tech/ BE, and students completing the first year (or second semester) of M.Tech/ ME/ M.Sc./ MBA are eligible to apply for NITK-SIP.
  • Contact Period: Students selected for NITK-SIP are required to be present in the campus and carry out the allotted project work over a contact period of minimum 30 days and a maximum of 45 days between 25/05/2016 to 08/07/2016.
  • Stipend: A stipend of Rs. 100/- per day will be paid to each student during the contact period. Allowance for food, at a rate Rs.100/- per day, will be paid separately.
  • Important Dates:
    • Last date of receipt of applications by Heads of Departments at NITK: 04/05/2016
    • Announcement of Selected Students by HODs at NITK: 11/05/2016
    • Date of commencement of NITK-SIP: 25/05/2016
    • Closing date of NITK-SIP: 08/072016
  • Application:
    • Students are required to send a research proposal along with the application form and necessary enclosures by speed-post to the Head of the Department where the student wishes to carry out the internship.
    • An advance copy of the application must also be sent by email to the Head of the Department along with scanned copies of relevant documents.
    • The research proposal must contain a detailed description of the research problem that the student wishes to work on, along with a brief introduction to the problem, the proposed work plan, and the expected outcome of the project work.

Summer Internship @ IITBBS 2016

 

The student registered for a degree in a government funded technical institution and the students referred by various academies, desirous to carry out Internship or to avail laboratory/other academic facilities/short-term training at IIT Bhubaneswar may apply for the Internship Programme.

Opening date for online application: 10/02/2016

Last date for submission of online application: 31/03/2016

Tenure: Not below three weeks and not exceeding eight weeks during Summer Vacations of IIT Bhubaneswar (Summer Vacation of the institute 01/05/2016 to 15/07/2016).
