Financial Assistanceship for SC/ST B. Tech. Students @ IITBBS

  • Parental annual income from all sources should not exceed INR 450000/- for a financial year
  • Type of Assistance Admissible under this scholarship
    • Exemption of tuition fee.
    • A scholarship amount of INR 300/- per month and exemption from payment of hostel room rent of the hostel.
    • The student can opt for free messing (basic menu) and INR 250/- per month as pocket allowance in lieu of the amount of scholarship.
    • Special facilities are provided for borrowing books on all relevant subjects from the library for each semester, free of charges, on priority basis. There are also special book banks for the exclusive use of SC/ST students.

Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships for Higher Studies

The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation under its Scholarship Programme awards interest-free loan scholarships to Indian students with a consistently good academic record. The scholarship amount (upto a maximum of INR 20 lakhs) is decided as per the assessment of the Foundation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian national, residing in India
  • Students below 30 years of age as on January 31, 2016
  • Students planning to pursue post graduate studies from Fall 2016
  • Graduates of a recognized university (or in the final year of the degree course or awaiting results)
  • Students awaiting a decision from the university are eligible to apply but the award of scholarship is subject to securing admission

Prime Minister’s Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Research

The Prime Minister’s Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Research is a public-private partnership (PPP) between Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), which is an autonomous body under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

This scheme is aimed at encouraging young, talented, enthusiastic and result-oriented scholars to take up industry-relevant research.

  • Up to 100 new Fellowships are provided every year.
  • Duration of the Fellowship is four years.

K. C. Mahindra Scholarships for PG Studies Abroad

Since 1956, K. C. Mahindra Education Trust has granted interest-free loan scholarships to deserving students to pursue post-graduate studies abroad in various fields.

Every year, they offer 50 scholarships, as given below:

  1. A maximum of Rs. 8 lakh per scholar, awarded to the top 3 K.C. Mahindra fellows
  2. A maximum of Rs. 2 lakh per scholar, awarded to remaining successful applicants
